Mr. Scott was born in Liberty, Kentucky, on February 9, 1931, and was the son of the late Joel Russell and Hattie Lee (Campbell) Scott.


As a child, Mr. Scott lived in Liberty, Kentucky.  The family moved to Franklin, Indiana in 1951.


He was married on October 26, 1963, in Franklin, Indiana to Naomi Dea (Turner) Scott.  Mrs. Scott died on August 12, 2003.


For four years he was employed in Franklin at the Arvin Manufacturing Company.  He then worked in Indianapolis at Guide Lamp.  After a short period with General Motors in Anderson, he worked for periods during the next three years in Franklin at the Morgan Packing Company.  For the next twenty-six years he was at Webco, which became American Standard Company, in Indianapolis until the company closed in 1983.  His last years of employment were spent as a truck driver for Reeder and Kline in Carmel until he retired.


     In 1974, Mr. Scott moved to Lebanon where he had since resided.  He enjoyed his family and friends and liked the out-of-doors as well as hunting and fishing.
